If you're looking for some exciting, realistic string sections for composing pieces in software, SYNCHRON-ized Chamber Strings from Vienna Symphonic Library might just be for you. This collection of virtual instruments features six first violins, six second violins, four violas, three cellos, and two double basses. Taken together, they make a credible, authentic string section that can help flesh out your work, or add nuance to your existing orchestral VIs. Much of the sample content has its roots in the Chamber Strings I Collection, though those samples have been re-edited and remastered to give you a modern sound that's easy to play. New velocity layers have been added in the legato articulations; indeed, you'll notice a large volume of articulations and expressions included in this string section. This software comes with the Vienna Synchron Player to play all these string samples. More than 90,000 samples are employed in this virtual instrument for a library that totals 27.8GB. This software is compatible with Mac and Windows platforms, and operates in AU, VST, and AAX platforms.
