Soundcraft Si Performer 2 - 24Mic/ 8Line Input Digital Mixer

The Soundcraft Si Performer 2 Digital Live Console is designed as a live sound reinforcement system for houses of worship, music venues, musicians, bands, theaters, touring companies, corporate events, and more. It is especially useful for applications wherein one operator will control both the sound and the lighting for a performance because of its integrated DMX controller and support for Soundcraft's ViSi Remote App for Apple iPad.

The mixer features 24 recallable mono microphone preamplifiers over balanced XLR connections, 8 line inputs, AES digital I/O, 80 total mix channels, 20-sub group/aux busses, 4 FX busses, 8 matrix busses, 8 mute groups, 8 VCA groups, assignable insert loops, selectable delay on all I/O, Harman HiQnet integration, headphone monitoring, LCR panning, motorized faders with backlit LED Faderglow visual feedback to denote fader function, and a color touch screen interface.

The mixer utilizes EMMA DSP processors to provide the equivalent of 448 rack units worth of DSP including 4-band fully parametric EQ, four MX4000-based Lexicon stereo effects engines, and extensive dynamic processing. For customization it includes assignable faders, assignable patching, and flexible routing. The four mix busses utilize internal Lexicon FX processors for left/center/right micing, and each features a compressor, 4-band fully parametric EQ, graphic EQs, and delay.

An innovative feature of the mixer is the integrated DMX 512 control interface with full automation for simultaneously controlling a simple lighting display (spots and can color mixing with fader level) while mixing live sound.

The I/O of the mixer can be expanded with an additional 128x96 input/output paths through two ViSi Connect option cards (one 64x64 expansion slot and one 64x32 expansion slot). The cards accept a range of formats including the MultiDigital Card (Firewire/USB/ADAT), BSS Digital Audio Bus (BLU link), Dante, CAT5 or optical MADI, AVIOM, and CobraNet among others for integration with other live mixing and multi-track recording environments.

The available ViSi Remote iPad control application allows for the use of an iPad to adjust individual channel strip settings such as the EQ, compressor, Gate, Pan, LR/MONO, and phase invert switches to optimize the front of house mix.

Eight Voltage-Controlled Amplifiers

Enables control over multiple channels using a single fader which sends a DC control voltage to the VCA, which in turn controls the assigned channels

Dual ViSi Connect Card Slots

Expands functionality of the mixer by installing two Optical MADI, CobraNet, AES/EBU, BLU link, Multi Digital Card, Dual Cat5 MADI, Aviom A-Net, AES/EBU D-Type, Rocknet, or Dante interface cards

DMX Interface

Provides simultaneous control over DMX-capable lighting installations

ViSi Remote iPad app

Allows remote control of channel strip settings from anywhere in the room using an Apple iPad and connecting the mixer's HiQnet Ethernet output to a wireless router

Customizes the four fader layer page functions for the user's needs

Illuminates fader slots according to function with defined colors for FX, Stereo, Linked Mono, GEQ, Post Fade Aux, and PRE Fade Aux

Expands upon the Soundcraft Expression's 2-Band Parametric EQ with an additional 2 bands of control

1:1 Controls

Connects 1 control with 1 function on the mixer to avoid complicated nested navigation of menus

TOTEM (The One Touch Easy Mix)

Enables mixing to an AUX, FX, or matrix bus with the press of a single key

BSS GEQ

Provides dedicated graphic equalizer on each channel to ensure you will not run out of processing resources

Security Lockout

Locks entire console or selected elements from unauthorized users and maintains user profile settings

Personal Monitoring Interface

Connects to the dbx PMC16 Personal Monitoring System through the Si BLU link option card and Cat5 cable

D.O.G.S. (Direct Out Gain Stabilizer)

Prevents accidental manual change of a microphone gain control that would influence direct out levels such as when using a common stagebox or recording the direct outputs

Global Mode Controls

Provides rotary controls that can be assigned to be GAIN, PAN, or High Pass Filter for all inputs

Copy & Paste

Copies whole channels, busses, mixes, Lexicon effects, a single part such as an EQ, or multiple parts of a channel strip such as the gate and compressor

Instant Access Keys

Provide dedicated front panel keys for STORE, RECALL, NEXT, MUTE 1-8, TAP TEMPO, and more

Function Focus

Displays information about the absolute value of the controls, channel name, and number for a channel whenever a control is moved or the select key is pressed
