JBL MTC-CBT-70T-WH - Bolt-on-Transformer Module WHITE

MTC-CBT-70T is a bolt-ontransformer module to adaptCBT 70J-1 and CBT 70JE-1 (andCBT 70J-1/JE-1 arrays) for use ondistributed loudspeaker lines. Itallows long cable runs and multiplespeakers to be driven from a singledistributed system ampliﬁer channel.

Transformer taps include 120W,60W, and 30W for 70V and 100Vdistributed lines, plus 15W for 70Vonly.

Connections are made viacustomer-supplied cable to screwdown terminals inside the enclosure.Two gland nuts are provided – onefor the cable into the enclosure fromthe ampliﬁer and one for the cablefrom the enclosed terminal strip tothe input terminal of the loudspeaker.The gland nuts form a water-tightseal when used with round jacketedcable with outside diameter between4.0 mm (0.16 in) and 9.0 mm(0.36 in).

The tap selection is made via theterminal connection of the cable fromthe power ampliﬁer to theappropriate terminals on the internalterminal strip.

Mounting holes are provided thatﬁt via two 6 mm screws to any of thetwo side-by-side insert points on theback of the CBT 70J-1 or CBT 70JE-1cabinet.

Note that MTC-CBT-70T extends86 mm (3.4 in) from the back of theCBT cabinet.

JBL MTC-CBT-70T-WH Overview

The white MTC-CBT-70T-WH Bolt-On Transformer Module from JBL is designed for adapting the CBT-70J-1 and the CBT-70JE-1 to be used on distributed loudspeaker lines.
It allows long cable runs and multiple speakers to be driven from a single distributed system amplifier channel. There are transformer taps for 70V and 100V at 120W, 60W and 30W and an additional tap at 15W for 70V only.

The module connects to the amplifier through separately sold cables which run to the transformer's screw-down terminals inside the enclosure. Taps are selected by connecting the cable from the amplifier to the appropriate terminal on the internal terminal strip. There are two gland nuts for a water-tight seal and two mounting holes which connect to insert points on the back of the CBT-70J-1 or CBT-70JE-1 cabinet. The transformer is also UV, moisture and salt-spray resistant.
