The Centerline Acoustics CA8MW 8” Bi-Concentric Micro Wedge is a two-way floor wedge designed to meet the need for a high-quality, high-output floor monitor wedge where tight space is a consideration. Additionally, the CA8MW is intended to have minimal low frequency response so a church stage, drama theatre, or orchestra pit will have little to no low frequency buildup emanating from the stage, coloring the mix engineers perspective.

Other innovations that make sense are features such as NL4 Speakon Connectors located on both sides of the enclosure; not two on one side or two on the back. Your cables will never be in the way regardless if you are daisy-chaining, or which side your floor box happens to be located. A grill with 1/2” holes instead of the typical tiny holes everyone else uses. We found that 1/2” holes are as close to no grill at all could be engineered. Larger holes equates to less destructive interference of the sound waves.

The CA8MW enclosure is made of marine-grade plywood cut on a CNC machine, glued and stapled, then sprayed in a textured Polyurea coating for Sherman Tank-like construction.

Cabinets are NOT filled with insulation to dampen our enclosures. Our enclosures resonate just like a fine acoustic instrument. You wouldn’t stuff your guitar with socks would you? And neither would we. In opposition of using insulation, we developed an innovative way of diffusing standing waves inside the cabinet with a clever diffusion system. Not a single square corner can be found anywhere inside the perimeter of the enclosure. The result is a monitor that is ALIVE with sound.

Yes, it looks cute, but it packs a serious punch, with tone for days! The picture just doesn't do it justice. It looks and SOUNDS fabulous in person!

Finally, esoteric materials and components such as unobtainium aren't used anywhere in the construction of the CA8MW, so it remains cost effective. A great sounding monitor the common-man can afford, use and love.
