Having now made quite the name for themselves in the world of gear modification, outboard equipment, and power conditioning, Black Lion Audio is offering pro-audio customers even more comprehensive surge suppression and metering in the PG-2, a rackmountable 14-outlet power conditioner with a whole host of bells and whistles. Employing high-quality noise filtering, comprehensive metering, and more, the PG-2 will satisfy the needs of the demanding professional. There are 12 rear-panel outlets divided into four banks for appropriate gear, with high-current outlets on a timed delay to eliminate pops from your loudspeaker equipment. On the front, you'll find two more filtered outlets and a USB Type-A charger. All the outlets benefit from the premium components used throughout, which achieve 99.7% noise filtration from common issues such as EMI. XLR lamp outlets are on hand, as are voltage meters, amperage meters, safety alarms, and more. 12 Rear-Panel Outlets The PG-2 features a bank of twelve switched, filtered, and surge-protected outlets on the back panel. These outlets are divided into four groups: Analog Audio, High Current, and Digital Audio (x2). Time-Delayed High-Current Outlets The High Current outlets are time delayed, always ensuring that your speakers and power amplifiers are the last to turn on, and the first to turn off. This prevents the dreaded pop that can occur if speakers receive power at the same time as your sound sources. Filtered Front Outlets, USB Charger, and More The PG-2 features 2 filtered convenience outlets, and a USB charger on the front panel, as well as XLR lamp connectors on both the front and back panels. Premium Components for Premium Sound and Protection The PG-2 is built using premium Panasonic and Wima capacitors, due to their superior execution in eliminating high frequency noise that robs equipment of its peak performance. In testing, this has provided an average of 99.7% of noise filtering, as opposed to the typical average of 85% found in other power conditioners at the same price point. Combine that superior power filtration with an impressive power absorption rating of 2775 joules, and your gear isn't just getting quality power, but is also protected from the most unsafe scenarios that can happen. Comprehensive Metering and Alerts The PG-2 features a suite of status and alert capabilities These include a voltage and amperage meter for real-time analysis, LED status for grounding / polarity / noise filtering / abnormal voltage / surge protection, and an audio alarm in the event of unsafe voltage. Even in the worst power scenarios, the PG-2 has your gear's safety in mind.
